(Italy 1899 - 1968)
18ct gold arm ornament with two double hinged bangles attached to a long hollow rod with 25 equally spaced holes along the top. Preparatory sketches for it in the Fondazione Lucio Fontana show that the original design had much wide arm bands and a thicker square tube with similar piercings, but through the collaboration and skill of the jeweller Montebello it developed into the present elegant piece of body art. Although an edition of 30 was planned, only ten were ever executed.
